摘要
Radio frequency fields used in MR imaging may result in patient heating. This article reviews the physics, physiology, and safety considerations of radio frequency heating of patients during MR examinations. Frequently, monitoring equipment, implants, braces, surface coils, or other devices are introduced into the patient vicinity. A section investigates safety aspects of such devices. Appropriate limits for radio frequency power deposition during MR examinations are explored.
