摘要
In this paper, neodymium hydroxycarbonate (NdOHCO3) was synthesized by carbon dioxide carbonatation. The effects of reaction temperature and aeration time of carbon dioxide (CO2) on the morphology and phase of the carbonized products were studied. In addition, the carbonized process was analyzed to understand the evolution law of the crystalline phase. It was found that the relatively low supersaturation of bicarbonate ion was beneficial to the stable formation of NdOHCO3. While the supersaturation was relatively high, the NdOHCO3 would continue to react with carbonic acid to form neodymium carbonate. The optical properties of NdOHCO3 synthesized by this method were also studied, and the sample showed a strong broadband emission centered at 440 nm, which shows the potential applications in optical devices. NdOHCO3 with uniform morphology and fine particle size was prepared by controlling the carbonatation process.
