摘要
With the increasing environmental pollution of the electronic wastes, biodegradable electronics have been attracting the attention of global researchers. In this chapter, we focus on biodegradable materials for their applications in biodegradable electrons. Various materials that can be used for biodegradable electrons are summarized, including natural materials and synthetic materials, two-dimensional materials, and metals and their oxides. They not only have good mechanical properties and excellent electrical properties but also are biodegradable, biocompatible, and nontoxic materials, which can be completely or partially degraded after deposition to meet the requirements of sustainable development. In addition, biodegradable electronics could not only alleviate the growing e-waste problem but also greatly facilitate the development of medical implant devices.
