From conventional inorganic semiconductors to covalent organic frameworks: advances and opportunities in heterogeneous photocatalytic CO2 reduction

The rational design of organic–inorganic hybrids to the photocatalytic reduction of CO 2 is reviewed, pointing to the challenges and perspectives towards both fundamental understanding and potential upscaling.
