摘要
This chapter provides a summary of the recent advances in homologation reactions of sulfoxonium ylides by C–H functionalization. Since its discovery in 2017, sulfoxonium ylides have emerged as highly appealing homologation reagents in transition-metal-catalyzed C(sp 2 )–H functionalization, owing to safe handling, ease of preparation, and high reactivity in acylmethylation. This chapter provides an overview of this area with a focus on the metal used, such as Rh, Ir, Ru, Co, Pd, and Cu, as well as the type of bond forming process, such as simple homologations, [4+2], [3+2], [4+1], and [3+3] annulations, and other related processes. This review covers the literature through June 2020.
