Cyanuric Chloride-Promoted Synthesis of Imidazo[1,2-a]pyridines

Cyanuric chloride-promoted synthesis of imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine derivatives was realized in high yields by the reaction of 2-aminopyridines, aldehydes and isonitriles in CH 3 CN at room temperature.All products were characterized by 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR and elemental analysis.
