摘要
The use of a hybrid filter banks in radar systems makes it possible to achieve both a wider dynamic range of the receiver and an increase in the frequency band processed at a time. The paper discusses design and implementation of an embedded and RF switchable Ultra-wide band filter bank architecture using band pass filters which covers 1.8–18.2 GHz frequency band with four individual Bandpass Filters with passbands of 1.8–6.2 GHz, 5.8 − 10.2 GHz, 9.8 − 14.2 GHz, 13.8 − 18.2 GHz. The high isolation and low loss SP4T switches are used to switch filter bands with Atmega 328p microcontroller programmed by embedded C is used with RS-232 in this architecture with software Graphical User Interface (GUI) to enable the pins, that is these pins are enabled as output or input pins accordingly. The entire design analysis of filters is done using HFSS software to capture various filter functionalities. The testing of the entire system is carried out using Network Analyzer. The proposed model makes it possible to significantly simplify the practical implementation and switching of the filter bank and efficient to be used in radar receiver application.
