Effect of psychological nursing intervention for fracture patients with depression and anxiety

Objective To discuss effect of psychological nursing intervention for fracture patients with depression and anxiety. Methods Selected 60 cases with fracture patients were divided into intervention group and control group. Scores of SAS and SDS of all cases were more than 50. Control group received normal nursing, and intervention group received psychological nursing intervention based on normal nursing. Depression, anxiety and quality of life of two groups were compared. Results After nursing, SAS and SDS scores of two groups decreased apparently compared with those before nursing(P 0.01). SAS and SDS scores of intervention group after nursing were lower than those of control group(P 0.01). Of followed-up at 1 month post-discharge showed that all dimensions of quality of life of intervention group were higher than those of control group(P 0.01). Conclusion Psychological nursing intervention for fracture patients can reduce depression and anxiety, and improve quality of life.
