摘要
Saline-alkaline stress is one of the major abiotic stresses that influence the yield of crops.pH homeostasis is critical to plant growth and development.pH also mediates many signal transduction pathways in plant response to various internal and external stimuli.However,molecular genetics of pH signal transduction and plant response to high pH is largely unknown.In this paper,the authors summarize the progress in physiology and molecular biology of plant in response to high pH and regulation of pH homeostasis.The authors also provide insights into future research on elucidation of genetic basis of pH signal transduction and tolerance of plant to high pH.
