Objective:To investigate the reasons of post-splenectomy persistent fever in patients with portal hypertension.Methods:Retrospective clinical study has been made on 182 cases with portal hypertension after splenectomy from 2005 to 2010.We has observed the relationship between liver function,postoperation complications and postoperative persistent fever.Results:Out of 182 cases,42 developed postoperative persistent fever and 37 had explicit complication.Conclusion:The main reason causing post-splenectomy persistent fever in patients with portal hypertension is related to liver function.There's no clear relationship between post-splenectomy persistent fever and postoperation complications.
