Sustainable approaches towards the synthesis of functionalized imidazo[1,2-a]pyridines: Recent advancements

Imidazopyridines are key N-fused heterocycles that have been extensively functionalized by various synthetic approaches. In the present review, we summarise the recent approaches adopted for the synthesis of functionalized imidazo[1,2-a]pyridines over the last five years. The key methods adopted including, photochemical, electrochemical, and hypervalent iodine-mediated have been presented.
