The Green Function of the Navier Problem for the Polyharmonic Equation in a Ball

We introduce the notion of an elementary solution to the polyharmonic equation and study its properties. We derive the integral representation for functions in a bounded domain with piecewise smooth boundary and define the Green function of the Navier problem. We obtain an explicit formula for the solution to the Navier problem for the polyharmonic equation in the unit ball.
