Corrosion is a problem that occurs in the production system of industrial oil and gas. Control Corrosion in tubing production is necessary for maintaining production and well direct as tubing production is the first contact with corrosion fluid and material agent. Corrosion is caused by a chemical reaction between a material and corrosion fluid. Stainless steel has versatile applications in chemical, structure, and construction industries owing to its mechanical properties. However, it's susceptible to corrosion in acid environments. Thus, it requires to protect the steel from corrosion. Many types of corrosion resistance steel, coatings, and inhibitors are developed to mitigate the corrosion, but, the inhibitor is the best solution to control the corrosion of steel in acid conditions. But it is hazardous, expensive, and needs expertise to synthesize the inhibitor. Mono-Ethylene Glycol as an inhibitor inorganic can adsorb the water and heavy substance in oil that can make serious corrosion. Meanwhile, molasses can be used in the energy sector, especially as an inhibitor organic can be efficient characteristics which include being inexpensive, environmentally friendly, and non-toxic to the environment. Also, can self-adsorbing on the metal surface thus protecting the metal surface by forming a thin layer, and reducing the movement or diffusion of ions to the metal surface. This paper would explain tubing time limit for the thickness tubing should be re-design based on the evaluation result to optimize the use of the tubing until the end of the contract.
