摘要
The aim of this chapter is to bring light on various magnetic metal ferrites and their nanocomposite for use as an adsorbent for the elimination of pollutants from water. This chapter also focuses on surface-modified metal ferrite nanocomposites and the need for surface modification. The methods for surface modification have also been discussed broadly. Various methods for the synthesis of magnetic metal nanoferrites and their composites were also briefly discussed. The focus was on to reflect the adsorption mechanism with diverse pollutants against these magnetic metal ferrites and their nanocomposites. The regeneration of these adsorbents has also been highlighted. The major thrust of this chapter is to summarize and provide all recent important information and adsorption capacities of different magnetic metal ferrites and their nanocomposites available in the literature. The deep study of this chapter will bring us closer to the future areas of research in wastewater treatment.
