摘要
Purpose (the aim of the study): Bone marrow edema-like lesions (BMELs) are a common finding in knee osteoarthritis (OA) and can also occur after knee trauma. It has been reported that the worsening of BMELs correlates with subsequent radiographic changes and pain in OA patients. Individuals who have suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury are susceptible to developing post-traumatic OA (PTOA), despite ACL reconstruction (ACLR). However, the exact role of BMELs in the progression of PTOA in patients with ACLR is not entirely clear.
