Owing to the worse greenhouse gas effect, the global warming problem is becoming more and more serious. Exploring suitable refrigerants to replace high-GWP HFCs is currently one of the key issues of concern in the refrigeration field. Among alternatives, trans-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene (R-1233zd(E)) is attracting a lot of fashionable attention in the refrigeration and air conditioning industry. To increase the database of solubility and enthalpy for R-1233zd(E) with polyol ester (POE) and polyalkylene glycol (PAG) oils, as well as reveal the oil retention influence on the evaporator in a vapor compression refrigeration system using R-1233zd(E), the miscibility and solubility behaviors were investigated for R-1233zd(E) with POE75, POE85, and PAG68 oils using an isochoric method between 298.15 and 343.15 K. The non-random two liquid (NRTL) equation was applied to correlate and predict the solubility. Pressure–enthalpy–vapor quality (p–h–X) diagrams were presented for R-1233zd(E) at oil circulation mass fractions (Cg) of 2 and 4%. Meanwhile, the differences were analyzed for the enthalpy change and nonevaporated quantity.
