Rapid Tests for the Diagnosis of Group A Streptococcal Infection: A Review of Diagnostic Test Accuracy, Clinical Utility, Safety, and Cost-Effectiveness

The purpose of this review is to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of non-culture based tests to diagnose Group A Streptococcus (GA Strep) infection; their clinical utility; their associated adverse effects, if any; and their cost-effectiveness.
