Bronfenbrenner's Ecological Theory

Urie Bronfenbrenner's ecological theory was developed between the 1970s and early in the 21st century. Although it has been most commonly thought of as a theory of the contexts of human development, from the start it was a theory of individual–context relatedness, fully justifying the use of ecological in its name. Despite the fact that three distinct phases can be seen in the development of this theory, its ecological foundation remains clearly in place.
