Comparison of the Capacity of Chitosan and Iron Hydroxide Flocs for Phosphate Adsorption in Seawater

Adsorption is proposed as an effective method for phosphate removal in real seawater with low phosphate concentration. This paper aimed to investigate the capacity of chitosan and iron hydroxide flocs for phosphate adsorption in real seawater, and the results shown iron hydroxide flocs had better performance of phosphate adsorption than chitosan.
