摘要
In this work, we present a simple numerical technique, viz. the generalized sparse matrix reduction (GSMR) technique, to generate a sparse matrix while applying the well-known method of moments (MoM) to electromagnetic scattering problems. The crucial step in the numerical procedure to generate the sparse matrix involves choosing a set of current distributions defined over the entire structure. Since the present technique generates a sparse matrix, this amounts to considerable savings in terms of computer storage/CPU requirements.
