Status and development of synthesis of ethylene glycol from coal

Ethylene glycol is an important organic raw material for chemistry industry.It's mainly developed from petroleum.Limited by the energy structure in China,the research of coal to ethylene glycol become urgent.Introduce several main coal to ethylene glycol processes and their merits and demerits.Detail CO catalytic coupling method as well as domestic ethylene glycol supply and demand situation,investment status.The results show that,coal to ethylene glycol industry has cost advantage.To prevent overcapacity,the investment should be intelligent.The development of downstream products is also important,which helps to resist risk.
