摘要
The Automated Essay Scoring (AES) is an information system that makes use of corpus and cloud computing technology to evaluate and score compositions intelligently. This English composition evaluation system provides students with independent writing platform and real-time score feedback that encourages them to modify the composition repeatedly. These procedures have relieved the pressure on teachers to correct students' compositions to a certain extent, but at the same time there are some problems that should not be ignored. This paper mainly studies the beneficial aspects and existing problems of the automated evaluation systems and examines whether there will be a positive development trend in the future. Based on the feedback from the teachers and students using the online writing system, this paper makes an analysis of the existing problems, so that the online writing system can be used more reasonably in the teaching of EFL writing.
