摘要
Gastric conduit engorgement is commonly caused by ischemia, necrosis,1 or second primary cancers developing after esophagectomy.2 We report a case of severe gastric conduit engorgement after esophagectomy in a patient who presented with occasional vomiting after hospital discharge. A computed tomographic (CT) scan revealed significant engorgement of the gastric wall (Figure 1). Endoscopy demonstrated congestion and edema of the gastric mucosa; no ulcer, fistula, or neoplasm was identified. Laboratory test results were unremarkable, and the D-dimer level was 3.21 mg/L.
