Survivorship

This article examines surviving a life altering diagnosis with the focus on the experiential relationship of the individual suffering from this crisis. Little is known about the lived experience of the individual and his or her family during this critical time. The concept of survivorship is examined as it relates to physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and financial domains. Implications for nursing practice and nursing research are considered.
