Geotechnics for subsea pipelines

The purpose of this keynote paper is to set out the challenges of pipeline geotechnics and to highlight some recent developments in this area that the authors have been involved with.This is not an exhaustive treatment of the subject, but is intended to– provide an overview of areas in which intensive research has recently been published.
