“DEKATSU” activity of data and service collaboration among private companies and academic institutions for Tokyo metropolitan resilience project

The possibility of the occurrence of a major earthquake in the metropolitan area is high, and it is highly possible that once a disaster occurs, it becomes a serious disaster. In order to alleviate the earthquake disaster, it is necessary to raise the disaster prevention ability (resilience) of society. For this purpose, “Data Platform Base Building Project (disaster prevention field) ~ Resilience integrated capacity improvement project centering on the metropolitan area ~” started in February 2017, integrated research of social science, seismology, earthquake engineering. In order to improve the disaster prevention capability, “industry, government, NPO/NGOs and academics” should work together to contribute to the improvement of resilience capability in the area mainly in the metropolitan area. To that end, we organized a data utilization council named DEKATSU. In DEKATSU, “Academics” will provide research results that can be utilized to solve problems of companies and organizations in the field of disaster / disaster prevention measures. “Industries” provides information and data that can contribute to problem solving. “Officer” provides a place and information for solving the problem. “NPO/NGOs” will provide information on the needs of the area. Improve regional and organization strengths and create solutions that will ensure reliable business continuity even in the event of a disaster. Furthermore, we aim to contribute to the realization of resilient society by utilizing digital data.
