摘要
Phenolic compounds are important functionalities in synthetic, natural, and industrial chemistry. Recently, the photochemical activity of their corresponding electron-rich anions (phenolates) has been exploited to perform novel carbon-carbon bond-forming reactions. This Minireview article describes the main features of excited state phenolates, highlighting their ability to drive radical organic transformations.
