Visible‐light induced three‐component dearomatization of phenols with oxime ester and DABSO

In this work, a visible‐light‐induced three‐component dearomatization of phenols with oxime ester and DABSO has been developed for the efficient assembly of various sulfone‐substituted cyclohexadienones under mild conditions. This dearomatization process is devoid of oxidants and does not necessitate transition metals. On the basis of mechanistic investigations, a radical tandem reaction process is proposed for the transformation.
