摘要
A novel fully transparent ultra-wideband and high gain liquid antenna has been investigated using ionic liquid and simple feeding structure for ku-band application. The antenna gain can be further improved by introducing surface-mounted horn. Numerical simulations are conducted to validate the effectiveness of the analytical prediction. The proposed antenna has frequency range from 12.33 GHz to 15.80 GHz(S 11 <-10dB), high radiation efficiency(>85%) and a maximum gain is 10.73 dBi. Compared to existing similar liquid antenna, such antenna has segmental unique features, such as high transparency, high radiation efficiency, ultra-wideband, low profile and etc, which can be a prospective candidate for high integrated circuit and microwave devices in ku frequency band. More detailed work will be presented in the final paper.
