Europium(ii) bis[tetrafluoro-2-(pentafluoroethoxy)ethanesulfonate] – structure and spectroscopic properties of a new near-UV emitter

A new complex of divalent europium with tetrafluoro-2-(pentafluoroethoxy)ethanesulfonic acid is an efficient UV (377.8 nm) emitter. In the excitation spectrum, marked Fano resonances, indicating positions of 4f 7 → 4f 7 transitions, may be observed.
