摘要
In the experimental teaching of communication principles, it is not convenient for students to carry the experimental box of communication principles, and not easy for students to preview and review experiments in time. In addition, the MATLAB programming experiment is so abstract that the students often find it difficult to understand and to complete the programming tasks. Due to the above-mentioned problems, this paper proposes a teaching scheme of communication principles based on visible light communication. In this experiment design, two Arduino boards are used to build the transmitter and receiver, and information can be transmitted via light pulses. On top of that, simple texts and pictures are transmitted and displayed through basic communication principle functions such as modulation and demodulation, source encoding and decoding. The design takes advantage of the visualization of visible light to understand abstract concepts and processes of communication principles. It also combines the hot topic of visible light communication to broaden students’ horizon and improve their comprehensive practical ability.
