Distance is one of the factors which affect the temperature measurement accuracy of an infrared thermal imager.To improve this temperature measurement accuracy,an experiment on demonstrating the effect of the distance on the temperature measurement accuracy of an infrared thermal imager is carried out.Firstly,a blackbody is used to calibrate the infrared thermal imager.Then,the temperature of the blackbody is measured at different distances.The experimental result shows that the variation of distance has a great effect on temperature measurement accuracy.According to the experimental data,the curves indicating the above effect at two different temperatures are obtained and a error correction formula is derived.Through error correction,the maximum temperature measurement errors at both different temperatures are reduced to±0.1K.The temperature measurement accuracy is improved effectively.
