A case of sporadic pulmonary alveolar microlithiasis

A 30-year-old female patient had difficulty breathing for 2+ years after exercise. Her chest computed tomography (CT) showed diffuse thickening of interlobular septa in both lungs, increased density of both lungs with ground-glass changes, and multiple calcifications, some of which are fused into lumps. foci and fusion. She was finally diagnosed with alveolar microlithiasis. Interestingly, her family has no related diseases.
