Refinements in the pre-expanded distant flap for giant melanocytic nevi of the upper extremity in pediatric patients

Surgical treatment of large and giant congenital melanocytic nevi (GCMN) of the upper extremity is challenging because of limited options for reconstruction. A preexpanded distant flap is considered an important option in upper extremity reconstruction, where the soft tissue available for use is limited. The authors aimed to refine the preexpanded distant flap after excision of the GCMN in the upper extremity.
