摘要
The operating effectiveness of Indian boilers is significantly compromised by the severe risk constituted by the early breakdown malfunctioning of boiler tubes, particularly in those powered by coal. The principal cause of stoppage and substantial financial deprivation in coal-fired thermal energy plant boilers is erosion and hot corrosion. This article summarizes the combined findings of multiple scientists who have focused on addressing the issue of degradation at elevated temperatures in boiler tubes, particularly in the circumstances of boilers in Bharat, both in real-world and artificial conditions. The findings aid the scientists in choosing the right combination of coating substances and variables for specific boiler steel and coating techniques. This selection aims to enhance the lifespan of boiler tubes effectively. Therefore, the goal is to reduce any undesirable harm to boiler tubes caused by hot corrosion. The discourse concerning potential industrial utilizations and practical applications, a more lucid juxtaposition of the advantages and disadvantages of various coating materials, and the hurdles encountered along with recommendations for forthcoming endeavors, notably regarding novel materials and inventive coating methodologies, have been incorporated.
