The popularity of green building materials (GBM) is rising as people become more aware of their advantages over conventional building materials (CBM). Bricks, cement, steel, and other traditional construction materials are renowned for their resilience and strength. However, they also have detrimental effects on the environment, such as high carbon emissions and resource depletion. On the other hand, green construction materials are sustainable and environmentally friendly replacements that reduce their adverse effects on the environment. These materials contain less embodied energy and are derived from recycled and renewable resources. They are also intended to create healthier indoor conditions and be energy-efficient. Utilizing green building materials can help promote sustainable development by drastically reducing the carbon footprint of buildings. Their basically biodegradable which isn’t harmful for human health and due to its natural components it won’t cause global warming. This study will examine the contrasts between conventional building material (CBM) and green building materials (GBM), in order to illustrate the advantages of employing green building material in construction.
