摘要
Secondary warping, as introduced by Wagner, overestimates the stiffness of thin-walled beams in buckling. This is particularly pronounced in beams with cross-sectional shapes consisting of thin rectangular elements which intersect at a common point. For illustration a beam of a cruciform cross-section is analyzed.
