Recent Advances of Direct Trifluoromethylthiolation

Compounds containing trifluoromethylthio group (SCF 3 ) play an important role in pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals and materials due to its strong electron-withdrawing effect and extremely high lipophilicity.Very recently, trifluoromethylthiolation has received a great attention.In this review, the new progress of direct trifluoromethylthiolation is described.Furthermore, the synthetic challenge for trifluoromethylthiolation is also discussed.
