摘要
Lei, X., 2020. The relationship between cross-border e-commerce along the Maritime Silk Road Economic Belt and manufacturing: A study of the threshold effect of logistics. In: Gong, D.; Zhang, M., and Liu, R. (eds.), Advances in Coastal Research: Engineering, Industry, Economy, and Sustainable Development. Journal of Coastal Research, Special Issue No. 106, pp. 126–130. Coconut Creek (Florida), ISSN 0749-0208.General Secretary of China Xi Jinping proposed a major initiative to jointly build the “21st Century Maritime Silk Road” in 2013, so China's trade exchanges with countries along the Maritime Silk Road Economic Belt have entered an important period of strategic opportunities. Through the panel data threshold effect regression model method, the differences in spillover effects of cross-border e-commerce on the development of the manufacturing industry in the Maritime Silk Road Economic Belt are analyzed under different logistics levels. The conclusion is that the cross-border e-commerce of the Maritime Silk Road Economic Belt in the eastern part of China promotes development of the manufacturing industry, and the expansion of the manufacturing market has led to a win-win situation for the further development of cross-border e-commerce, mainly because of the superior logistics infrastructure in the region. However, in the central and western region, because of the limitation of logistics development, the cross-border e-commerce of the Maritime Silk Road Economic Belt directly leads to the weakening of the mutual promotion of cross-border e-commerce and manufacturing, thus hindering cross-border e-commerce to promote the development of manufacturing.
