摘要
Based on the C=C/C=N organo-metathesis reaction, a [2×2] dynamic covalent library (DCL) containing two Knoevenagel derivatives and two imines has been established. The 'balance' of the equilibrated DCL could be strongly skewed by addition of Cu(I) triflate as the 'weight' due to formation of a Cu(I) complex, and thus accomplish a fast and remarkable constitutional selection of the DCL. Such an adaptation process could be reversed by addition of neocuproine as a competitive Cu(I) ligand. Furthermore, separate addition of other 'weights', i.e. Ag(I), Fe(II), Zn(II) and Cu(II), generate cation-specific distribution patterns as outputs. More information can be found in the Full Paper by Ruirui Gu and Jean-Marie Lehn.
