Nanoparticles have different characteristics than their larger counterparts. The mechanical, magnetic, as well as optical properties, add uniqueness to the silver nanoparticles, as the changes in mechanical attributes of substances at the nanoscale are about four times those of macro-sized materials, whereas the magnetic nature of these nanoparticles varies with temperature. These nanoparticles are helpful in several industries, such as medicine, electronics, and environmental restoration, as silver nanoparticles surpass other metal nanoparticles in some qualities and applications. A major advantageous property is microbe resistance, which serves the medicinal field, but these nano-sized particles have their limitations because of nanotoxicity. There are a lot of methods for synthesizing nano silver, and these are listed under chemical, physical, and biological categories. Since the synthesis listed requires physical and chemical methods, which are expensive, the majority of synthesis now takes place through biological pathways involving plant extracts and microorganisms. The technique of production in a biological manner is called the biogenic process of production. The review aims at analyzing the proper synthesis techniques, properties, and application fields of nano-sized silver particles.
