Discussion on the development prospects of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles for mining

In order to solve the pollution problem caused by oil-powered vehicles in trackless auxiliary transportation in underground coal mines and the bottleneck of charging and endurance of pure electric vehicles, the application prospect of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles in trackless auxiliary transportation in coal mines was discussed. Based on the analysis of the safety of hydrogen energy, the cleanness of hydrogen from coal, and the current technical status of hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, the development countermeasures of further research on hydrogen fuel cell vehicle for coal mine are put forward: strengthen the construction of hydrogen coal mine standard; integration of actual hydrogen production and hydrogenation; key components and related technologies such as proton exchange membrane and catalyst are further breakthrough, so as to solve the problem of low temperature start-up of domestic hydrogen fuel cells, and further improve the stack specific power and durability. The analysis shows that non-track auxiliary transportation vehicles in coal mines have their own characteristics, and the application of hydrogen fuel cells underground in coal mines must prioritize safety. By overcoming key core technologies such as hydrogen leakage and explosion prevention through extensive theoretical and experimental data, establishing comprehensive regulations and standards, it will be beneficial to realize the hydrogenation of auxiliary transportation vehicles in coal mines and achieve long-range and carbon-neutral transportation.
