摘要
A symmetric Galerkin boundary element formulation is presented for the solution of two-dimensional dynamic viscoelastic problems subjected to steady-state time-harmonic loads. The formulation follows the direct approach using as a starting point the Somigliana displacement and traction integral equations interpreted in a weighted-residual sense. For the integration process, a two step regularization method is proposed in which no intermediate analytical integration is involved. The numerical implementation is discussed and several examples are presented to demonstrate the accuracy of the method. Comparisons with the collocation method are also presented.
