摘要
A new version of electrodischarge machining is developed possessing a number of advantages. The arc welding converter with direct current can be used instead of the pulse generator. Hydrodynamic pressure of the technological liquid in the gap is a universal factor which controls the physical features of the short arc, thus enabling to optimize technological parameters of the process. New mechanisms of pulse formation and molten metal ejection are under consideration. The data of technological experiments on Arc Dimensional Machining (ADM) are presented. High material removal rate and low electrode wear can be attained. ADM is recommended for machining of dies and other jobs with complicated cavities. The advantage of ADM becomes more essential with increasing of the machined area.
