As one of core components in solar-driven interfacial evaporation system, photo-thermal conversion material still confronts a challenge to achieve superior optical absorption combined with excellent evaporation performance. In this work, a CuS-Multi walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) composite was synthesized and a photo-thermal conversion membrane with CuS-MWCNT composite was prepared for solar steam generation. The experimental results showed that the CuS-MWCNT membrane hastened the conversion of water to steam, matching 1.58 kg m-2h−1 evaporation rate and 95.0% evaporation efficiency. Further, the evaporator with CuS-MWCNT membrane demonstrated superior durability with excellent evaporation performance, indicating that it was a promising candidate for solar-driven interfacial evaporation.
