摘要
A novel corrosion monitoring method for prestressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP) spigots that combines the Tafel extrapolation and surface acoustic wave (SAW) methods is proposed. Tafel extrapolation and the SAW method are used to determine the self-corrosion rates and output voltage–time curves for a single steel plate and PCCP spigot at different corrosion rates. The mortar coating features a vital anti-corrosion effect on PCCP spigots. Sulfate inhibits chloride rusting of PCCP spigots. For PCCP spigots, normalization based on amplitude is suitable for monitoring the entire rusting process; normalization based on energy is more suitable for early stage monitoring.
