Trapped and released: Ammonia borane (AB) incorporated within the one-dimensional hexagonal nanopores of magnesium-metal–organic-framework-74 shows clean and exceptionally improved H2-release properties when compared to pristine AB (see figure; C gray, O red, Mg green, H white, N blue, B orange). In this system, the kinetics and the temperature of AB dehydrogenation can be easily tuned. Detailed facts of importance to specialist readers are published as "Supporting Information".
