This study looks at the design of the FSO based inter-satellite Wireless Optical Communication link and focus on the performance investigation of ISL (Inter Satellite Link) based on Free Space Optical (FSO) Systems based on geometrical parameters as well as on the basis of various meteorological conditions like the impact of different atmospheric circumstances such as fog, scintillation, turbulence, rain, and so on. For the purpose of linking small satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO), this study examines how well an optical intersatellite connection (ISL) performs (LEO). We are simulating the suggested connection to see whether it can provide a high data throughput with the lowest bit error rate across a variety of different distances. Analysis of the system’s dependence on photodetector type like APD, wavelength under operation, the transmitted optical power, Modulation schemes like Return to Zero and Non Return to Zero approaches improves the system’s performance. The wavelength of 850nm and 1300nm are used to design and investigate the ISOWC link performance.
