摘要
Coatings provide a protective mechanism to help prevent metal corrosion. However, once a coating breaks down, its corrosion protection is greatly reduced. The incorporation of self-healing microcapsules in the coating can substantially improve the service life of metallic materials. For large-area engineering applications of microencapsulated, intelligent, self-healing anti-corrosion coatings, two different coating processes for poly (calcium alginate) microcapsules loaded with tung oil epoxy resin-based self-healing coatings (self-levelling and electrostatic spraying processes) are explored in this paper. In this paper, the poly (calcium alginate) microcapsules loaded with tung oil were synthesized by the emulsion gelation method. The microcapsules and its self-healing behaviour was analysed by SEM and FTIR. The anti-corrosion behaviour of the coatings were studied by polarization curves, EIS and SEM.The effects of different coating proportion schemes and coating processes on the corrosion resistance of the coatings are discussed. In conclusion, This work confirms the influence of coating preparation process on coating properties, which is of great significance for coating technology and application.
