摘要
The Cover Feature shows the application of alumina-supported Ni-based catalysts in the reductive amination of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural to 2,5-bis(aminomethyl)furan. A systematic screening of over 14 secondary metals is performed, in which manganese is the best candidate. The understanding of the structure-performance relationship is illustrated, and the presence of well-dispersed manganese oxides is considered as a pivotal factor in the improved stability and activity of the bimetallic catalyst.
